UK – has no facilities to clean fracking waste, research says

This article discusses fracking in the UK, and the inability to process the waste water. This is the same problem that the US faces – there are no facilities to process the waste. So what do you do with it? Injection wells and have earthquakes? Open pits? There is no solution to fracking waste.

A lack of specialist waste treatment facilities could limit the development of fracking in the UK, say researchers from the University of Edinburgh. Safe treatment and disposal of the waste water arising from fracking, they say could cost more than £1 million over the lifetime of each well.
