TC Line: Anti-fracking hypocrisy

Against fracking? Concerning the anti-fracking proposal article in Thursday’s Times-Call, why aren’t those same people crying for us to give up the natural gas used to make electricity and to heat our homes and businesses; the gasoline used to run our automobiles that get us to distant stores and work; the jet fuel used for vacations and global travel; the dirty oil, also known as asphalt, we used to pave our roads and parking lots; and the extra hydrocarbons used to make many things we own? Instead, why aren’t these people demanding that we fill up our open space areas with solar panels and wind towers?
